A Mexican Wedding
The weekend after my birthday, I went to a Mexico Wedding in Mexico City with one of my friends from school who lives in the dorms with Kate and Nishi. She invited us and another one of our other Mexican friends. It was her cousin's wedding and she was one of the bridemaids. Her dad got us a chofer for the weekend. The wedding was on Saturday around 5 and the reception began at 8. It wasn't too much different from any other wedding except for the music and the dancing. They also had a Mariachi band come in, which is something you don't often see at non-Mexican weddings. The food was great and there were about 150-200 people there. On Sunday, we went to Xochimilco (try pronouncing that one) which is a place with coloful boats. I will post pictures above this post. I got Ariel a minature version of the boat so she can play in the bathtub. I have a picture with it so you all can see. Well that's it for now! I'm in the homestretch in school. I just did a presentation in one of my classes on Thursday on a work of art completely in Spanish and it went well. I should be getting really good grades in all my classes, I worked hard all semester. I can't wait to share my stories with everyone. If there is anything in particular anybody wants from here, let me know!!! Tim and Mary, I got you both really great gifts so dont worry haha.

Jalcomulco
This past weekend, I went to a town in the state of Veracruz with 13 other students from my University. It was another trip that was organized by the Mexican students. One of the girls who was supposed to go got sick so Kate went in her place. We slept in these rooms with Mosquito Nets around the beds but I still got bit all over my legs. I also had bug spray with me that I put on a lot but the mosquitos here are very persistent because everyone in the group got bit. On Saturday, we did an obstacle course that consisted of climbing up a wall and then ziplining to another tree. From there, we walked on rope across to another tree and ziplined 3 more times. The pictures are a little dark but if you look closely you can see me. It definitely was a workout because I've been sore for the past two days haha. On Saturday, we woke up early and went white water rafting for 3 hours. It was my first time and I absolutely loved it. Not too many people fell out of the raft, Kate fell about twice, me about once. At one point when the water was calm, we all jumped out and went swimming. Afterwards, we hiked to a natural swimming pool and went swimming again. All the food was included in the trip and it was great. Jalcomulco is only about 3 1/2 hours away from Puebla. I got really good mosquito cream for my bites so I'm feeling better already. Tonight begins the celebration for my 21st Birthday!!!!!! If you can, I would love to hear from everyone my number is 011-521-222-528-5576....if not, I understand. I miss everyone a lot!!!
Cuernavaca
Two weekends ago Kate and I took a little weekend trip together to Cuernavaca. It's only about 2 3/4 hours away from Puebla and since we are students, we got discounts for the bus. They call Cuernavaca La Eterna Primavera (The Eternal Spring) because it is always warm there, even at night. The weekend we were there it was really hot during the day and very comfortable at night. On Saturday, we took a bus tour of the city and walked through a big garden for about an hour. When we got back, we went to the stadium to see a soccer game. The team is Division II so the crowd isnt quite as crazy as the fans of the Division I teams but it was still a lot of fun. There are a lot of Universities in Cuernavaca like in Puebla so we saw a lot of Americans. They are not too hard to spot on the streets haha. Kate and I are thinking of going back for a night because we enjoyed it so much.
